Context and Objectives

Driven by the requirement to become ISO27000 and NIS2 compliant, Eni Energy NL will execute an IT transformation program from 1 January 2026 until the end of 2026. The key objectives of this program are:

  • Integrating business-led IT services into standardized IT department processes.

  • Adapting IT services to meet ISO27000 and NIS2 compliance and certification requirements.

  • Documenting architectures of selected IT services.

  • Documenting IT services and their dependencies on business processes and IT infrastructure (CMDB).

The IT Program Architect is responsible for architecture oversight and governance across this program.

Assignment

  • Accountable for architecture oversight of the IT transformation program.

  • Ensures all projects within the program comply with:

    • Eni Energy NL architecture principles

    • Security and compliance standards

  • Provides architectural design consultancy and guidance.

  • Works closely with:

    • Business stakeholders

    • IT Governance

    • IT Infrastructure teams

    • IT Application teams

  • Reports to the IT Governance Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for changes to the Eni Energy NL IT architecture required to meet program objectives.

  • Supports integration, consolidation, and clean-up initiatives with architectural input.

  • Proposes enhancements to IT technology principles, standards, and roadmaps to the IT Architecture Board when required.

  • Validates program deliverables against market best practices.

  • Ensures new or modified technologies fit within the overall IT landscape.

  • Guides the organization in identifying and removing obsolete or redundant IT services.

  • Provides technology leadership and architectural direction throughout the program.

  • Actively engages stakeholders and ensures alignment across business and IT domains.

Requirements

  • Relevant university degree.

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience.

  • Proven experience in:

    • Developing IT architecture

    • Defining technical vision and IT strategy

  • Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex topics clearly and convincingly.

  • Ability to influence stakeholders and enforce compliance with architectural and security principles.

  • Understanding of how Oil & Gas organizations operate.

  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
