What You'll Actually Be Doing

You'll be the technical backbone strengthening their Linux/Unix operations, executing projects that matter and driving operational excellence. Think autonomous project management from conception to delivery, building and expanding platforms that scale, and implementing lifecycle management that actually works.

The role demands someone who can work independently whilst collaborating effectively - managing projects end-to-end, sharing knowledge generously, and delivering solutions that stand the test of time. You'll be challenging the status quo, investigating new approaches, and bringing that creative problem-solving energy that makes infrastructure sing.

Your Technical Arsenal Should Include


• 5-7 years of hands-on Linux administration experience (Debian, Red Hat, derivatives)


• Strong scripting capabilities - Bash, Python, Ruby, PHP, or GoLang


• Solid experience with Puppet, CI/CD pipelines, CMDB, and Git workflows


• Working knowledge of Apache, Tomcat, MySQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, Elastic Stack


• Understanding of security protocols including Kerberos, LDAP, Radius


• Container orchestration experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift


• General networking knowledge covering firewalls, load balancers, routing

Bonus points for cloud experience (Azure, AWS) and SAN storage platform knowledge.
