About the Role

The Junior / Assistant Accountant supports the Head of Finance in ensuring accurate and timely financial processes within the organisation.

The role involves maintaining financial records, managing payments, preparing reports for the head office, and contributing to internal controls and compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting day-to-day financial operations.
  • Processing and recording incoming and outgoing payments.
  • Assisting with monthly and annual financial reporting.
  • Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Verifying invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests.
  • Assisting with internal and external audits.
  • Performing control and administrative tasks to ensure sound financial governance.

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to develop within an international finance function. A structured approach, accuracy, and a genuine interest in financial operations are essential.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • MBO+ or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial administration (internship experience is valued).
  • Good understanding of bookkeeping and financial reporting principles.
  • Experience with accounting systems (Exact, SAP, or similar).
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
