Mikasa Sports — the iconic Japanese brand renowned worldwide for excellence in volleyball, beach volleyball, footvolley, and other sports — has recently opened its European headquarters in Amstelveen. As the sole importer and distributor for Europe, we are building and expanding our presence across the entire European market.
To support this growth, we are looking for an
Italian-speaking Sales & Partnerships Specialist
with a strong commercial drive, excellent relationship-building skills, and a passion for sports.
This is a junior/medior role with significant growth potential in an international environment.
Your Role
As a Sales & Partnerships Specialist, you will play a key role in developing Mikasa's European operations, with a strong focus on Italy and surrounding markets. You will work closely with the Italian Volleyball Federation (FIPAV), clubs, athletes, premium resellers and sales agencies.
You will be responsible for expanding sales channels, driving new business, and supporting commercial activities. You will also collaborate directly with our headquarters in Japan.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development (Core Focus)
- Build and strengthen relationships with premium resellers and sales agencies.
- Expand sales channels and develop new direct customers in key markets.
- Identify new business opportunities and drive commercial expansion.
- Prepare and deliver confident, persuasive presentations, proposals, and product updates.
- Support federations, associations, leagues, and clubs.
- Represent Mikasa at trade shows, sports events, and partner meetings.
Marketing & Commercial Support
- Create tailored sales plans and partner-specific marketing strategies.
- Support customer events, promotions, and product activations.
- Assist in updating catalogues, digital assets, and CRM data.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activities to support commercial strategy.
Your Profile
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in sales, partnerships, or business development (sports or consumer goods preferred).
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets and increase market share.
- Strong understanding of sports retail and basic digital marketing.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in English and Italian (DE/FR/ES/PT are a plus).
- Strong relationship-builder: open-minded, proactive, team-oriented.
- Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-changing environment.
- Basic knowledge of WordPress/WooCommerce is an advantage.
