About Qblox
Qblox is a deep tech scaleup whose mission is to accelerate the worldwide race towards building scalable quantum computers. We do this by providing the world's best quantum control stacks.
We combine hardware with excellent analog performance with easy to use software. We develop a modular system packed with high-end FPGAs that are synchronized with nanosecond precision, high-speed digital interfaces to multi-gigasample data converters, and ultra low-noise and low drift analog (RF) circuits. The FPGAs contain, among other things, our proprietary sequence processors that generate the pulses that control the quantum hardware.
To interface with our equipment, we develop a software stack consisting of low-level drivers, compilers and assemblers written in C/C++ and higher-level tools written in Python.
Our products are used by R&D teams globally to accelerate the development of operational quantum computers and quantum networks. The technology we are developing is compatible with a broad range of qubit technologies.
Your Mission & The Role
As the Product Manager for Quantum Control Software, you will hold a
strategic leadership position
responsible for solidifying our competitive edge and defining a clear path for growth. You will function as a strategic and process expert, owning the product roadmap for software interfaces within the quantum computing research, industrial, and High-Performance Computing (HPC) deployment markets.
Your primary goal is to
continuously oversee the successful formulation and execution of our product and market strategies
. You will balance corporate goals with long-term market trends and opportunities, directly guiding both R&D and MSO (Marketing, Sales, and Operations) teams on tactical execution.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
Strategy and Roadmapping
- Lead the software roadmap for integrating quantum computers into R&D environments and HPC centers.
- Define market trends for responsible market segments, bundle user requirements over a 3-year rolling date range, and rank requirements by priority.
- Convert market requirements into high-level product definitions, backed by a business case that is agreed upon with the board.
- Define products (customer-product fit) and the roadmap, including use-cases, key features & benefits, and key performance specifications.
Market & Customer Engagement
- Proactively establish professional and productive relationships with key stakeholders, customers (Academic, Government, Industry), and partners globally.
- Liaise with key customers and partners to gather product and feature requirements, tracking them in the Market Requirement Documents (MRD).
- Represent Qblox at relevant gatherings/conferences (panels, presentations, demonstrations), positioning us as a thought leader in the market segment.
- Support discussions with strategic end-users during the sales process and incorporate customer feedback into the product roadmap.
Execution & Go-to-Market
- Guide and monitor the execution of the product development and market launch through product lifecycle management.
- Liaise with R&D, monitor product development progress, and provide input on development dilemmas.
- Guide the MSO team with formulating the product launch plan, providing content for marketing collateral, and contributing to product press releases.
- Monitor sales and revenue progress of the product portfolio and continuously improve usability and competitive advantage.
Enough about us, what about you?
To really enjoy the role, we anticipate that you will possess the following demonstrated skills:
- Master's degree in Physics or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Product Manager in a high-tech environment.
- A proven track record in strategy development.
- Data & metrics-driven scientific mind with an eye for business opportunities.
- Strong analytical & abstraction skills: able to analyze trends, draw well-founded conclusions, and convert conceptual ideas into concrete requirements.
- Leadership skills: ability to exercise guidance and influence within the R&D and MSO teams, forging commitment and consensus.
- Planning skills: ability to develop and implement a product roadmap over time, distinguishing needs from wants and mapping out priorities.
In an ideal world:
- A vision on how quantum computers should integrate in an HPC environment.
