Requirements
  • BSc or MSc in Chemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Biotechnology, or related discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in bioprocessing, pharmaceutical, enzyme, or food technology industry.
  • Knowledge of unit operations such as mixing, filtration, centrifugation, and enzyme immobilization preferred.
  • Familiarity with GMP, ISO 13485, or similar quality systems.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.
  • Hands-on and proactive, with attention to detail and safety.
  • Good communication skills in English; able to work cross-functionally in technical and quality teams.

Duties

Process Development & Optimization

  • Support the design, scale-up, and optimization of urease extraction and immobilization processes.
  • Perform lab- and pilot-scale trials involving extraction, decanting, microfiltration, centrifugation, and immobilization reactions.
  • Execute process troubleshooting and root-cause analyses for deviations or yield/quality issues.
  • Assist in technology transfer activities to production sites.

Equipment & Commissioning

  • Support equipment specification, qualification, and start-up (decanters, centrifuges, fermentors, filtration units, reactors, dryers).
  • Lead and/or participate in Design Qualification (DQ), Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), Performance Qualification (PQ), and Process Performance Qualification (PPQ).
  • Assist in commissioning and validation of new process lines or utilities.

Quality & Documentation

  • Issue and update process documentation including Process Descriptions, Task Risk Analyses (TRA), Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Batch Records.
  • Execute and document process validation and verification activities.
  • Contribute to the Quality Management System (QMS) through change controls, CAPAs, and deviation management.
  • Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.

Production Support

  • Provide on-floor support during production and cleaning operations.
  • Monitor key process parameters and identify deviations from specifications.
  • Implement corrective actions and process improvements in collaboration with production and QA.

Reporting

  • Prepare technical reports summarizing experimental work, process validation results, and production performance.
  • Contribute to design and validation reports (e.g., DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ summaries).
  • Support preparation of regulatory documentation and technology transfer packages.
