GL Accountant (mid-level)
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented GL Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a critical hands-on role focused on the core accounting integrity of our European entities.

Working closely with the Senior Financial Controller and the AP Specialist, you will ensure the accuracy and completeness of our financial records, manage key reconciliations, and play a dire ct role in the monthly closing process. This position is ideal for an ambitious accountant looking to take full ownership of the General Ledger within a fast-paced, multi-entity B2B SaaS environment.

About The Team
You will be part of a focused Finance team dedicated to ensuring financial accuracy, transparency, and efficiency. The team's mission is to provide reliable reporting, maintain compliance, and support strategic decision-making across the business. You will report to the VP of Finance and collaborate daily with the Senior Financial Controller, Accounts Payable Specialist and leadership, acting as a central hub for all core accounting tasks.

Your role
Your primary responsibility is to ensure the integrity of the General Ledger across all entities and support timely, accurate month-end closing processes.

• General Ledger Management: Perform journal entries, prepare complex reconciliations (e.g., bank, intercompany, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments), and ensure accurate GL mapping.
• Month-End Close: Execute month-end closing procedures efficiently and accurately, ensuring all balance sheet and income statement accounts are reconciled and substantiated.
• Compliance & Audit Support: Assist the Senior Financial Controller with internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation, analysis, and explanations for GL transactions.
• Tax & Reporting: Prepare supporting schedules for tax filings (e.g., VAT, Corporate Tax) and contribute to the preparation of timely, accurate financial statements and reports.
• Process Improvement: Actively identify and implement improvements for GL-related processes and workflows within our core ERP and finance systems.

What You'll Bring To The Team

• 3–5 years of progressive experience in General Ledger accounting, preferably in a fast-paced, multi-entity or B2B SaaS environment.
• Strong knowledge of NL GAAP and experience with IFRS is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience with full-cycle month-end closing and complex balance sheet reconciliations (intercompany, fixed assets, accruals).
• Essential experience with a professional ERP system (NetSuite preferred), plus familiarity with FloQast, Payhawk, or similar finance tools.
• Meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a high commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
• A proactive, self-starting approach with the ability to manage a demanding workload and solve problems independently.
• Fluent in English. Dutch language skills are a bonus.
