Rapyd is seeking a dynamic, tech-savvy Sales & Account Manager to join our Partnerships Team, focusing exclusively on startup ecosystems. This role bridges business development, partner sales, and technical enablement, helping fast-growing startups integrate and scale with Rapyd's global payments infrastructure. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, cross- functional environment, has a strong technical grasp of fintech or API-based products, and can manage both new partner acquisition and ongoing relationship growth.
Startup Sales & Business Development-
● Identify, prospect, and onboard high-potential startups that can benefit from Rapyd's payment solutions (e.g., pay-ins, payouts, wallets, issuing, FX).
● Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for the startup segment, focusing on verticals like SaaS, marketplaces, embedded finance, and digital platforms.
● Build and manage a robust pipeline through inbound leads, startup accelerators, VCs, and ecosystem partnerships.
● Lead the full sales cycle — from initial discovery and technical qualification through proposal, negotiation, and closing.
● Collaborate with Rapyd's marketing and partnerships teams to co-create startup enablement programs, webinars, and ecosystem campaigns.
Account Management & Growth-
● Serve as the primary point of contact for all commercial and operational aspects of the startup accounts you manage.
● Build long-term relationships with founders, CTOs, and product teams to ensure satisfaction, adoption, and expansion.
● Drive account growth through cross-sell and upsell opportunities across Rapyd's product suite (e.g., open banking, issuing, FX, virtual accounts).
● Monitor partner performance, transaction volumes, and margins to identify growth levers and areas for optimization.
● Coordinate internally with compliance, onboarding, and product teams to resolve issues quickly and enhance partner experience.
Technical Engagement & Enablement-
● Work closely with startup product and tech teams to understand their integration architecture and payment flows.
● Provide first-line technical guidance and solution design during the pre-sales process (API, SDK, webhooks, and platform capabilities).
● Translate partner requirements into internal product feedback, helping shape future product roadmap and feature prioritization.
● Liaise with Rapyd's Solutions Engineering team to ensure smooth implementation and post-launch technical support.
● Maintain a working understanding of key fintech technologies including open banking, payment gateways, card acquiring, digital wallets, and API-based integrations.
Requirements● 3 years of experience in sales, partnerships, or account management, ideally within payments, fintech, SaaS, or API-led platforms.
● Proven track record of closing B2B partnerships and managing post-sales relationships with startups or tech companies.
● Experience working with or selling to founders, CTOs, and developers in early-stage or growth-stage environments.
● Strong understanding of payment ecosystems (acquiring, issuing, FX, compliance) and startup go-to-market dynamics.
● Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product, compliance, legal, and technical teams.
● Solid grasp of APIs, webhooks, and payment integrations — comfortable discussing JSON requests, authentication, and integration workflows.
● Experience with sandbox environments or developer onboarding processes for fintech or SaaS APIs.
● Ability to interpret technical documentation and translate business requirements into implementation steps.
● Familiarity with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce).

● Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both technical and commercial.
● Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities with executive-level stakeholders.
● Analytical mindset with comfort in discussing data, unit economics, and performance metrics.
● Entrepreneurial mindset with self-starter attitude — comfortable working independently and scaling new initiatives.
● Excellent organization and multitasking skills, balancing multiple deals and ongoing partner management.
Preferred Qualifications
● Prior experience in a startup partnership role, accelerator program, or VC-backed ecosystem.
● Exposure to cross-border payments, compliance/KYC, or embedded finance platforms.
● Fluency in multiple languages (European or APAC languages preferred).
● Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or technical certifications a plus.
