Your Opportunity

We're looking for a Junior Developer (DevOps) to join the Hypernode Tech Team. Hypernode is a specialist managed hosting provider with a complete focus on e-commerce. On our hosting platform, we host web shops built with Magento, Shopware, WooCommerce, and Akeneo among others. We collaborate extensively with website builders and developers to provide top-notch hosting solutions for their web shops.

We are the market leader in the Benelux region, and our growth ambitions now extend far beyond. Hypernode is also part of , a leading digital enabler for companies and entrepreneurs, serving over 3.3 million customers in 22 countries, supported by 3600+ colleagues across Europe.

The Team

You'll be part of an agile team, building, improving, and maintaining Hypernode's service offering. We value code quality, write automated tests (unit and integration), perform code reviews as standard, and follow continuous delivery practices.

You'll collaborate closely with a motivated development team and stakeholders across technical, commercial, product, and operational areas, all with the goal of delivering the best possible services for our customers.

What Your Day Looks Like

Together with your colleagues you will work on diverse projects such as:

The Hypernode Control Panel for managed hosting.

Internal and external APIs and client libraries.

The Hypernode customer platform.

Our automation engine.

The popular Magento security tool MageReport.

Various other web services that are written in Python and Django.

Our tech stack

Our core stack includes Python, Django, React/Vue, and Linux (Debian), but we utilize a variety of other technologies as well. We're constantly evolving our platform, and you'll have the opportunity to influence our technical direction and help shape the tools we use.

Your Profile

You are a Junior Developer with a passion for automation, scalability, and reliability. You thrive on building and maintaining robust infrastructure that supports modern hosting best practices. Quality, security, and maintainability are non-negotiable for you, and you bring creative problem-solving to complex challenges across distributed systems. You're excited to work with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud platforms, and you're not afraid to dive deep into system-level details to ensure seamless deployments. You enjoy understanding how every component fits together to deliver efficient, resilient and ultimately automated solutions.

What You'll Bring With You:

Professional experience with Python and/or Bash.

Experience with tools like Ansible, Puppet and Terraform.

Experience with containerization technologies, specifically (Docker, Podman).

Experience with version control workflows (we use Git & GitLab).

Experience designing, building, and orchestrating systems for internal and/or customer infrastructure.

Capable of reasoning about complex systems and interconnected (micro) services.

Familiar with concepts related to servers and Linux, clusters, domain registration and SSL.

Able to debug and troubleshoot server-related problems spanning from configurations, environment variables, services, etc.

You are willing to participate in a rotating on-call schedule providing after-hour support to our customers.

Great communication skills (our team language is English).

Nice to have:

Eager to learn about the domains and technologies involved at Hypernode.

Experience with Apache Libcloud and/or Kubernetes.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS).

Experience with building / distributing software packages.

Bonus points for experience with Adobe Commerce / Magento.

Knowledge of Scrum.
