The Opportunity

Do you want to step up form a technical role to a role that requires understanding the big picture, the technical risks ad communicating it with critical stakeholders?

At the Cyber Team we analyze and find risks, vulnerabilities, and misconfigurations in complex platform that run in Cloud environment. By identifying cyber security risks, you can help us shape the security posture of multiple businesses. The opportunity is in Amsterdam, and you will be reporting to the Director of Cyber at Prosus

Who You Are

• You are a proactive and driven individual with:
• Deep expertise in cloud computing and infrastructure, paired with a solid understanding of how cloud platforms work (and what "good" looks like).
• A community builder, being a part of, or leading a technical community. A passion for staying ahead in a continuously evolving field of technology.
• The ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and geographies, connecting with local and global experts. Comfort with ambiguity and the flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced, global organization.
• A mindset that embraces critical thinking, resilience, and creativity when solving complex problems. You can run high-stake initiatives or projects independently or coordinate an experienced team of technical experts.

What You Bring

• Experience & expertise: 5–8 years of relevant experience in cloud computing, or site reliability engineering.
• Technical knowledge: A robust grasp of cloud systems like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including understanding of their vulnerabilities and inherent risks.
• Analytical skills: Exceptional critical thinking to evaluate potential threats and recommend actionable solutions. Ability to analyze data, deal with ambiguity, and draw a reasonable conclusion.
• Global collaboration: Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across different countries.
• Technical tools: Ability to write scripts, use automation tools, and hack together a technical solution to deep-dive technically a vulnerability or a misconfiguration.
• Communication: Ability to translate technical issues into business language for stakeholders.
• Commitment to technology: Deeply inspired to drive impactful, scalable changes in technology on a global scale.

Your Typical Day

• You'll never find yourself stuck doing the same task. Your day might include:
• Collaborating with experts across the Group to perform advanced risk assessments of cloud platforms, data platforms, or software development practices.
• Leading cyber security audit and evaluation processes to identify weak configurations or risks.
• Traveling up to 30% of your time globally to engage face-to-face with teams, stakeholders, and experts in tech hubs worldwide.
• Monitoring and analyzing potential threats, using your technical expertise to recommend drastic solutions and mitigations when needed.
• Bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment in cyber security decisions.
