Senior QA/QC Specialist

Location: Boxmeer

About the Role

As a Senior QA/QC Specialist, you will be the guardian of quality within our sterile powder filling facility. Your mission is to ensure full compliance with GMP standards and maintain the highest level of product quality. You will play a pivotal role in supporting clinical trial material activities, reviewing batch documentation, and managing outsourced Quality Control (QC) testing.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance (QA)

  • Support the Qualified Person (QP) in reviewing and certifying sterile powder batches.
  • Conduct thorough batch documentation reviews for completeness, accuracy, and GMP compliance.
  • Investigate and resolve deviations, discrepancies, and quality-related issues.
  • Make usage decisions for incoming raw materials, primary packaging, and starting materials.
  • Participate in supplier qualification for raw materials, equipment, and packaging components.
  • Act as a GMP subject matter expert during root cause investigations, change control, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Quality Control (QC)

  • Oversee all outsourced QC testing activities.
  • Review and approve QC documentation, including test results, protocols, and reports.
  • Coordinate with external contract laboratories to ensure timely and compliant testing.
  • Utilize SAP for documentation of test results.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related life sciences.
  • Minimum 5 years of GMP experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, preferably sterile dosage forms.
  • Strong knowledge of EU GMP, Annex 1, and Lean Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience with batch release processes and QC testing.
  • Familiarity with contract lab management and technical agreements.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
