About Young Collective

Young Collective connects a range of products designed to unite 190K+ like-minded students through a blend of technology and social instinct. Whether it's new students meeting online or gathering at rooftop events in the heart of a city, we're the team behind the scenes. We've mastered the art of building online communities that bring students together, and every product we create is designed to meet their unique needs.

Our flagship product is the world's largest student party, active in more than 150 student cities across the globe and connecting over 250,000 newly arrived students each year. Founded in 2016, we embrace a remote working culture, with most of our team based in Rotterdam, Tirana, and Manila.

We're a young, creative, and international team where you'll have the freedom to use your creativity, test ideas, and grow your skills every day.

The Role

As a Community Manager Intern, you'll help manage and engage our online student communities, ensuring that our chats are active, friendly, and free of spam. You'll interact directly with students, offer support, and promote upcoming events through chat and community channels.

This role is perfect for someone social, organized, and eager to learn more about marketing, communication, and event promotion. You'll work closely with our marketing and event teams to make sure our global communities run smoothly and stay exciting

Key Responsibilities

  • Community Engagement: Keep our student communities active and welcoming across platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram.

  • Moderation: Monitor chats for spam or inappropriate content and maintain a safe, positive environment.

  • Support & Interaction: Respond to student questions, share useful information, and provide friendly support.

  • Collaboration: Work with the marketing team to create fun and engaging communication strategies.

Key Requirements

  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable personality.
  • Organized, proactive, and responsive.
  • Fluent in English (other languages are a plus).
  • Familiarity with platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, or Discord.
  • Passion for student life, travel, and community building.
  • Eagerness to learn about marketing and event promotion.
