Your role
The Cross Functional Team is continuously improving the flow of data into the reporting process and implementing long-term projects, such as CRD6/CRR3 legislation. The team also solves urgent issues during the reporting process. The team consists of (Risk) business analysts and colleagues from ICT.
As a business analyst, you will be a linking pin between the reporting officers and the Cross Functional Team. You will also take on additional responsibilities such as SQL development and, as such, have expertise in SQL development.
Your Responsibilities
Understand the requirements of the third-party software tools (vendor reporting applications) and the DNB/ECB reporting guidelines.
- Support in implementation of changed and new regulatory reporting requirements in a rapidly changing regulatory landscape.
- Perform assessments on current datasets and interfacing scripts to precisely determine the necessary adjustments needed.
- Work together with reporting officers in defining new or changed reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with agile team colleagues to define solutions for the business requirements.
- Perform in-depth analysis, investigate and identify solutions to resolve ad-hoc interfacing and data issues.

Your team
As Risk Management Officer, you will join the Regulatory Risk Management and Reporting (RRMR) team at FMO. Currently, 16 professionals work for RRMR specializing in reporting, regulatory risk management and project management.
The reporting responsibilities of RRMR entail delivering reports (including COREP, LCR, IRRBB, BSI and AnaCredit) to the Dutch Central Bank and European Central Bank. The team also contributes to the preparation of reports for risk decision-making committees.
Within the department, you will be assigned to the Cross Functional Team, which is responsible for the data flow to a third-party tool used to meet the regulatory reporting requirements. The team continuously improves/updates the interface between the central data warehouse and reporting solution for effective and timely reporting.
Your background
- A Bachelor's or master's degree in IT, Finance or other related fields.
- Around 5 (five) years of experience as a business analyst in banking in regulatory reporting or related area
- Background in regulatory reporting and key European prudential regulations (CRR/CRD) is strongly preferred.
- Can translate business challenges/requirements into technical requirements.
- You have an affinity with IT applications and understand the functional requirements and technical solutions.
- You have worked with large datasets and have experience in SQL coding.
- You have experience with working in an Agile (Scrum) team.
- You like working with people and are a good communicator.
- You are fluent in English.
- Experience in cross-departmental collaboration, Python programming, and AI tools - while not mandatory, these skills would be considered a plus.
