About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Scientist to join the Material Management team within Analytical Development. This role plays a key part in supporting production and laboratory operations by ensuring high-quality inspection, sampling, release, and management of raw materials in a GMP-regulated environment.

You will work in a multidisciplinary setting, collaborating with various internal stakeholders to maintain a smooth material flow, accurate documentation, and a high standard of compliance across all activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Raw Materials & Material Management

  • Order, receive, inspect, and process incoming raw materials and laboratory supplies.
  • Perform sampling of raw materials according to established procedures.
  • Conduct release testing or coordinate external testing when needed.
  • Release materials in eLIMS and ensure accurate digital tracking.
  • Maintain a controlled and compliant material workflow aligned with GMP standards.

Laboratory & Operational Support

  • Ensure timely handling, storage, and forwarding of samples and materials.
  • Contribute to maintaining a qualified production environment through proper documentation and quality practices.
  • Support environmental, utility, and safety monitoring programs as required.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Complete and review all GMP documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Lead document revisions and contribute to continuous improvement of processes.
  • Uphold GMP compliance across all material-related activities.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Maintain close communication with cross-functional stakeholders involved in production, quality, and analytical development.
  • Ensure aligned expectations and smooth coordination across departments.

Requirements:

  • MBO or HBO degree in a life sciences field.
  • Minimum
    2 years of experience
    in raw material handling or related activities.
  • Affinity with raw materials, quality systems, and laboratory environments.
  • Experience with
    GMP, SAP, and eLIMS
    is a strong advantage.
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
