As Corporate Finance Associate at Chane, you will be a key member of the team leading strategic corporate finance, M&A and treasury projects. You will support decision-making with a strategic and long-term impact on the business. Where you will be working

Chane is an international privately-owned storage company providing logistics solutions and is part of the Infrastructure Investments Fund advised by J.P. Morgan Asset Management. Handling the entire logistics chain for its customers, the company has major storage facilities sited strategically at 21 locations in the Netherlands, France, Spain, Portugal, the UK, and Poland. With a total capacity of 5,400,000 cubic meters, its facilities allow the handling of a highly diversified base of products, including edible and vegetable oils, base oils, oleochemicals, chemicals, biodiesel, liquid agricultural products, fuel oil, middle distillates, and gasoline. Chane employs over 1000 employees.

Key Responsibilities

Chane is looking for a Corporate Finance Associate equipped with a proactive, curious, and entrepreneurial mindset. As a self-starter, you will proactively generate new ideas for improvement and value creation in line with the organization's long-term goals. You demonstrate proficiency in understanding complex business problems and devising solutions, as well as being able to communicate and present these solutions with confidence to convince key business stakeholders.

• Participate in strategic investment processes, including modelling of capital expenditure projects and contributing to proposals and strategy materials for management and supervisory board
• Manage cash forecasting and monitoring, drive working capital & group / shareholder funding optimization initiatives, execute bank facility operations including drawdowns and support covenant calculations
• Support budgeting and long-term business planning & valuation processes and advise various functional stakeholders on an ad-hoc basis
• Playing a key supporting role in M&A transactions as well as financing transactions

Requirements

• A MSc. or equivalent university degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a similar technical field of study
• At least 3-5 years of working experience in M&A, corporate finance, consulting, private equity, or a related role
• Demonstrated proficiency in (financial) modelling in Excel and building and manipulating advanced cash flow & valuation (DCF) models
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral. Professional proficiency of Dutch, French, or Spanish are a plus
• Be equipped with a pro-active, curious and entrepreneurial mindset
• Have the ambition to develop competencies across the full breadth of corporate finance, M&A and treasury related topics in order to become a well-rounded senior (finance) professional
• Knowledge of advanced analytical techniques; knowledge of AI, BI and/or RPA tools is a plus
