Mechanical Technicians

Our client is a world leader in material solution, this company sources, processes and distributes specialty industrial minerals and is a leader in glass recycling. This companies solutions support the advancement of modern life and serve diverse industries such as glass, ceramics, construction, coatings, polymers and water treatment. The group operates production sites in 30 countries, with a team of around 5000 people. For the Technical Service of our location in Maastricht we are looking for a service -oriented and independent Maintenance/Breakdown Technician. The main tasks for this position are: •Identifying, locating and solving malfunctions in our machines, technical installations, buildings and utilities, possibly with the help of colleagues from other disciplines and/or third parties; •Performing (preventive) maintenance and inspections, and reporting findings; •Performing emergency repairs; •Carrying out more extensive repairs at scheduled times and on the basis of prepared orders; •Making proposals for improving technical situations and adjusting preventive and operating regulations and maintenance plans in consultation with the manager. In principle, the work is carried out in day shifts reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague who: •Consciously works safely; •Has a relevant completed tertiary education in the direction of Mechanical Engineering; •Is in possession of a forklift and VCA certificate, aerial work platform certificate is an advantage; •Preferably has several years of experience in a similar position in a production environment; •Can work both independently and in a team.
