The Role

Due to rapid expansion, our client is seeking a
Head of Finance
to take full ownership of the
finance and legal
functions.

This is a pivotal role in which you will join the
management team
, report directly to the
CEO
, and play a key role in
investor relations,
and
strategic decision-making
.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Partner with the CEO and management team on financial strategy, capital allocation, and company growth.
• Prepare and participate in investor meetings and fundraising.
• Develop and maintain robust financial models, budgets, and forecasts.
• Identify opportunities, risks, and trends in company performance.

Financial Management

• Full ownership of the
  general ledger
  , accounting, and month-end close.
• Build and automate management and investor reporting, focusing on SaaS metrics (MRR, churn, LTV, CAC, runway).
• Manage and streamline
  budgeting, forecasting, and cash management
  processes.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders including accountants, auditors, and banks.

Operational Finance

• Oversee
  creditors, invoicing, and payment approvals
  , implementing SaaS tools for transparency and control.
• Maintain budget discipline across teams; escalate overspending when necessary.
• Align weekly with internal finance and bi-weekly with external accountants for payroll, tax, and compliance.
• Lead financial systems centralization and migration projects.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations.
• Own audit processes and internal control frameworks.
• Oversee fiscal activity across multiple European entities.
• Manage employee option plans and debtor follow-ups.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline (Master's or MBA preferred).
• 3+ years of experience as
  Head of Finance
  ,
  Finance Director
  , or similar senior leadership role.
• Strong background in
  accounting, P&L management, budgeting, and cash flow
  .
• Excellent analytical skills; proficient in spreadsheets and modern finance tools.
• Trusted advisor able to inspire confidence with leadership, investors, and partners.
• Up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations and SaaS benchmarks.
• Proven ability to thrive in
  fast-paced, international, venture-backed
  environments.
