Bachelor Internship: Technical Environment: Analysis and Reporting

We are seeking a motivated intern to help us gain a comprehensive overview of the technical landscape within our domains.

Are you a motivated student that wants to help us gain a comprehensive overview of the technical landscape within our domain. The primary goal is to assess our current on-premise and cloud environments, identify outdated applications and systems, and develop automated reporting mechanisms to monitor their status regularly.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Analyze the existing technical inventory across on-premise and cloud platforms.
• Develop queries, reports, or KPIs that clearly represent the current technical status of our applications and systems.
• Identify applications and systems that are outdated or nearing end-of-life.
• Propose and implement automated processes to regularly update this technical status overview with minimal manual intervention. This process is able to deal with newly added applications and services in the future.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to gather relevant data and insights.

• Document findings and provide actionable recommendations for technical upgrades or migrations.

This internship will take place within our Marketing and Sales department, were we manage applications that support our customers across Trucksales, Aftersales Commercial Services, and Parts Sales. These applications are hosted both on-premises and in cloud environments. Our goal is to Ensure the delivery of stable applications that maximize uptime for our customers, while effectively managing and optimizing the associated operational costs.

Our technical application managers team consists of 5 people. They work closely together with the IT managers, Functional application managers, architects and developers to support al the applications within the Marketing and Sales department.

At present, we do not have a proactive monitoring system in place to oversee the lifecycle of these applications and their associated systems. We seek to gain deeper insights to enhance lifecycle management for our applications, focusing on key technical aspects such as server versions, .NET versions, code libraries, as well as HTTP and TLS versions.

We are looking for an enthusiastic HBO student who is pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. The skills below are applicable to you.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-premise infrastructure.
• Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) to automate tasks.
• Understanding of databases and ability to write queries (SQL or equivalent).
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a team environment.
• Prior experience with monitoring tools or KPI dashboards is a plus.
