Senior Data Scientist (Remote – Gaming Industry)

This company are looking for a
Senior Data Scientist
to help unlock the next generation of player experiences, personalization, and monetization strategies across our gaming portfolio. You'll work at the intersection of data, gameplay, and design — driving insights that inform decisions for millions of players worldwide.

What You'll Do

  • Build predictive and causal models to understand player behavior, engagement, and retention.
  • Partner with game designers, engineers, and product managers to experiment, test, and optimize in-game systems and live ops.
  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and dashboards for key performance metrics.
  • Apply advanced techniques — from machine learning to reinforcement learning — to personalize player journeys.
  • Translate complex data findings into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to best practices for analytics and experimentation.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years' experience in
    data science, machine learning, or applied statistics
    , ideally within gaming, entertainment, or consumer tech.
  • Deep understanding of
    Python, SQL, and modern ML frameworks
    (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Strong grasp of
    A/B testing, causal inference, and player segmentation
    .
  • Experience working with
    large-scale data platforms
    (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks).
  • Excellent storytelling and communication skills — you turn data into decisions.
  • Passion for games — you understand what drives fun, engagement, and community.

Nice to Have

  • Background in
    game economy modeling, recommendation systems, or churn prediction
    .
  • Experience deploying models in production or collaborating with data engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) or experimentation platforms.
