nhow Amsterdam RAI is a social and multicultural hub for globetrotters, business travelers, and Amsterdam locals. The iconic building, facing the various wind directions, symbolizes the melting pot the city of Amsterdam has always been and continues to be. The impressive 91-metre-tall building is located in the Zuidas district, right next to the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, offering its guests a dynamic headquarters and home base.

The housekeeping team of up to 70 colleagues service all the 650 room. The hard-working team is very diverse and multi-cultural. The department is lead by the Executive Housekeeping Manager, Assistant Managers, 10+ floor supervisors and a large team of housekeepers.

What part will you play in creating the unforgettable?

• Checking the rooms and public areas;
• Working closely with the Housekeeping team, sharing feedback, coaching and leading them;
• Training and developing the team of your housekeepers;
• On rotation, responsible for the opening and closing of the day;
• Co-responsible for keeping our quality scores at the highest level in all of our 650 rooms.

A day in the life of a Floor Supervisor Housekeeping (starting times may change, below is an example of how your day could look like)

08:45After a cup of coffee or tea, you are ready to start your day at the Housekeeping Department.

09:00You prepare the room lists for Room Attendants, so they know what needs to be done. You start making the first round on your floors, checking rooms, saying hello to your rooms team as well as the guests.

10:00You attend the morning briefing with your fellow Supervisors. Time for another cup of coffee or tea.

11:00Whilst checking the rooms, you also brief Room Attendants with any last-minute changes regarding the rooms to be cleaned. One room wants an extra bed, another room stays a day longer, and a third room wants extra towels.

12:00Enjoy your lunch with colleagues from other departments.

12:30Still some rooms are pending to be checked and to see if they meet the quality standards we set.

15:30You make sure everything is done and prepare the handover for the evening shift.

17:00Time to go home
