As one of Europe's leading companies in large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), we're scaling fast and bringing critical investment expertise in-house. That's where you come in. 

We're looking for an Investment Analyst who loves diving into financial models, playing with scenarios, and figuring out what makes projects tick. Someone who can turn numbers into stories and stories into numbers,  Providing our team the confidence to make bold investment decisions. 

What you'll be doing 

One moment you're deep into Excel, tweaking scenarios and running sensitivities. The next, you're handed a new supplier contract and asked: what does this mean for our business case? You'll keep our models sharp and up-to-date, turning shifting costs, revenues, and financing terms into clear insights. And when the numbers are crunched, you'll be the one explaining what it all means for bids, acquisitions, and financing. Along the way, you'll spar with colleagues in Project Finance, Business Development and Engineering, making sure our decisions are always grounded in solid analysis. 

You'll also have the opportunity to be part of our deal team, contributing to M&A processes (from due diligence to negotiations and documentation) and assessing business cases and Information Memoranda (IM's) that shape key investment decisions. 

What we're looking for 

We're looking for someone who is hands-on, curious, and quantitative. And furthermore you have:  

  • Min. 2 years of relevant experience in investment banking, M&A, Big Four, or renewable energy; 

  • A degree in Econometrics, or Economics/Business Administration with strong modelling experience; 

  • Strong financial modelling skills in Excel (working with Macro's is a pre); 

  • Analytical, curious, and detail-oriented; 

  • Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus, not a must)

Here you're not a consultant on the sidelines, you're right in the middle of the action. We invest our own capital, so the work you do directly shapes real projects and real deals. You'll get exposure to everything: M&A deals, supplier negotiations, financing strategies, even how contracts impact the bottom line. And because batteries are the hot topic in the energy world, you'll be working in one of the most dynamic markets out there. Best of all: there's a solid foundation to build on, but plenty of freedom to make it your own. You report to our Chief Investment Officer. 

A day in the life 

Morning coffee: review updates from suppliers and check if new costs impact our financial models 

Mid-morning: run a few scenarios to see how changing financing terms shift project IRR and NPV 

Lunch catch-up: sparring with Business Development on a potential acquisition bid 

Afternoon: translate a new Operations & Mantenance contract into numbers and update the model accordingly 

End of day: prepare a crisp summary for the team, so everyone knows the financial story behind today's findings
