Overview

The Pricing Specialist is part of the pricing and quoting team. Handling all pricing support and strategy for RFQs and support the growth in the international Air Freight and work closely with operations and station staff implementing bids and utilizing the proper carriers to maximize the benefits forecasted in the bids. 

Responsibilities

• Support to develop, analyze, and evaluate strategic and operational pricing initiatives for AIT.
• Manage the costs, carriers and market related adjustments applying an operational leadership.
• Together with the European Pricing department responsible for all regional RFQ's, local tenders greater than 500k, and for specific spot quotes.
• Improving the success ratio and providing our sales team one-stop-shop.
• Responding to monthly quotes request
• Work closely with operations and field stations to implement bids and utilize the proper carriers to maximize the benefits forecasted in the bid.
• Ensuring accurate and complete documentation for pricing and contacts
• Perform risk assessment of pricing.
• Generating reports and data analyses to support pricing decision and strategy.
• Identifying areas of process improvement and cost reduction in Air Freight pricing
• Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (as applicable).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration
• 3 years of work experience in Freight Forwarding within the fields of pricing, customer service, or operational controlling
• Extensive experience in the logistics industry
• Exposure to day-to-day operations, product and services sales, and involvement in customer interaction
• Solid analytical and numerical skills for reviewing and analyzing data
• Experienced in project (management) and working in cross-functional projects
• CargoWise one an advantage
• Business fluent English level, additional (major) European languages would be an asset
