We are looking for an Application Developer with strong expertise in Java-based integrations

to join our team in Eindhoven. As an Application Developer, you will work at the heart of

integration design, development, deployment, and continuous improvement. You will help set

company standards and best practices for integrations both with internal and external systems, including employing a Central Message Bus (CMB) for Event-Driven Design. You will also play a key role in rebuilding existing legacy integrations to Event-Driven architecture , ensuring scalability and maintainability.

What You'll Do

You'll work with a team of developers on client-facing webshop-solutions. We are after someone who is keen to tackle complex architectural challenges and to work on complex projects from start to finish, is oriented to solve problems, is innovative, reliable, punctual, proactive and communicative. You have a wide interest in new technology. You encourage a culture of professionalism, customer service and technical excellence.

  • Architect, build, and maintain integration solutions using Java, Spring and Microservices
  • Design and implement event-driven architectures leveraging a Central Message Bus
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between systems
  • Define and enforce best practices and standards for integration development
  • Support migration of legacy integrations to new Event-Driven architecture
  • Contribute to Domain-Driven Design (DDD) initiatives and ensure alignment with business domains
  • Coach peers, lead by example, and foster a culture of clean, testable, and maintainable code

Your Profile

You are an experienced, pro-active, and self-motivated engineer who takes ownership and responsibility. You understand component-based architecture, integration patterns,

microservices architecture, and DDD principles . You balance attention to detail with a strong sense of practicality.

Must-haves:

  • Advanced knowledge of Java, Spring, and Microservices
  • Strong experience with integration design and Event-Driven architecture
  • Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design and best practices (SOLID)
  • Experience with REST and messaging systems (e.g., AWS Event Bridge and SQS.)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with Gitlab and Cloudflare
  • Experience with iPaaS systems such as Prismatic
