Lead Innovation During a Key Transition Period
An international technology-driven organization is seeking a strategic and experienced interim leader to fully assume the responsibilities of Head of Demand Management Technology & Solutions during a maternity leave period. This temporary assignment (6–12 months) offers the opportunity to lead a global team across Distribution, Airports, and Warehousing domains, driving innovation in product development and supply chain optimization.
You will oversee approximately 25 professionals across Value Engineering, Design for Excellence (DfX), and New Product Introduction (NPI), ensuring strategic alignment, collaboration, and continuity during this key transition phase.
Your Role and Impact
As Interim Team Lead, you will manage a global, cross-functional team that plays a pivotal role in ensuring that products remain competitive in terms of cost, quality, lead time, and reliability. You will guide the team through ongoing initiatives and process improvements, maintaining focus on strategic objectives and stakeholder engagement.
Team Disciplines:
- Value Engineering
– optimizing designs for cost-efficiency and performance - DfX Consultants
– embedding design best practices early in the development process - NPI Project Managers
– driving new product introductions and continuous improvements
The team has recently been integrated into a single unit, requiring strong leadership to foster collaboration across disciplines and domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a cross-functional team of DfX consultants, Value Engineers, and NPI Project Managers
- Oversee all operational domains: Distribution, Airports, and Warehousing
- Support and guide two team leads within the organization
- Drive process alignment and continuous improvement initiatives
- Influence key stakeholders across Supply Chain, Technology, and Solutions functions
- Strengthen global collaboration and maintain high levels of team engagement
Your Profile
- Proven leadership experience in managing diverse, multidisciplinary teams
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in team management, ideally within supply chain or technology environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute effectively
- Solid project management experience
- Technical understanding of supply chain, automation, or engineering domains
- Demonstrated ability to lead through change and foster cohesion across global teams
