Senior FEC Offboarding Analyst (Hybrid, Netherlands)

Join a major Dutch bank protecting the integrity of the financial system. You'll play a key role in assessing the bank's highest-risk clients and deciding when relationships should end — ensuring the organisation only does business with customers who meet strict integrity standards.

What you'll do

  • Lead complex offboarding assessments across all Financial Economic Crime (FEC) domains: AML, sanctions, media signals and complex structures.
  • Analyse customer files, risk indicators and legal grounds to advise on whether to maintain or terminate relationships.
  • Conduct client conversations, including with legal representatives, to clarify facts and test assumptions.
  • Deliver clear, balanced recommendations that stand up to internal and external scrutiny.
  • Coach junior analysts and occasionally step in for the team lead when required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of offboarding processes and the bank's gatekeeper role.

What you'll bring (must-have)

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in business, economics, law or criminology.
  • 5+ years of hands-on FEC/CDD experience within banking, including offboarding. (Note: transaction monitoring or sanctions-only experience is not sufficient.)
  • Strong understanding of business and organisational structures.
  • Analytical thinker with sound judgement and an eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch, both written and spoken.

  • A proactive, learning-oriented mindset and ability to coach colleagues.

  • Practicalities:
