About this vacancy

As a Civil Engineering Estimator at TMC, you work on a wide range of projects within contracting companies, consultancy firms, and (semi-)government organizations. You have a direct impact on the successful realization of civil engineering projects, ranging from infrastructure works such as roads, bridges, and tunnels, to waterworks and urban development. These are your key tasks: - Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for civil engineering projects; - Evaluating quotations and analyzing project proposals; - Analyzing project data and advising on cost optimization; - Contributing to the development of project plans and strategies in collaboration with project managers and engineers; - Monitoring market developments to estimate projects based on the most up-to-date information; - Reporting to and consulting with internal and external stakeholders on project progress.

What we expect from you

As a Civil Engineering Estimator, you play a crucial role within our team. You ensure that complex projects are translated into feasible and realistic cost estimates. You do this with attention to detail, accuracy, and a pragmatic approach.

What we specifically expect from you:

  • A completed HBO or WO degree in Civil Engineering or a comparable field;
  • 0-3 years of relevant work experience as an estimator or in a similar role within civil engineering;
  • Thorough knowledge of specifications, contract forms (UAV-GC, RAW), and estimation software;
  • Strong analytical skills and a good head for numbers;
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with various stakeholders (contractors, consultancy firms, governments);
  • Result-oriented and capable of meeting deadlines without compromising the quality of your work;
  • A proactive and flexible attitude with attention to detail.
