In the world of energy trading, it is important to act faster than the competition. We have developed trading software that allows traders to set up a (semi-) automated trading process, which allows them to fully focus on choosing the best overall strategy given the current market conditions. We are constantly developing our software tools to give traders more and better opportunities to beat the market. To make sure that our traders can rely on the correct operation of these tools, the maintenance of the current systems is also of great importance.

In addition, our trading software needs to be up to date and constantly expanded to keep up with the constant developing market and the expansion of the countries in which NP trades.

At Northpool, the software engineers work together with the traders to design and prioritize new features. Together we look at the software requirements and technical possibilities. As a (Junior) Software Engineer your work will directly contribute to the trades that are made.

Your challenge? Using your technical knowledge to continuously develop new features in our trading software, contributing to our trading performance.

Your goal? Developing the software that keeps us ahead of the other market players.

We ask
  • Bachelor's or master's degree
  • 0-5 years' work experience
  • Outstanding analytical skills
  • A strong responsibility
  • Good social and communication skills
  • Experience with (object orientated) programming
  • Logical reasoning and problem-solving attitude
  • Eye for perfection
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English
