About Us

At Solarplaza, we organize high-quality international B2B summits where industry leaders come together to exchange knowledge and build partnerships in renewable energy. We are a small team of 40+ people from 15+ countries, working from our headquarters in Rotterdam. We are driven by a shared mission to help accelerate the transition to renewable energy, and we achieve this by facilitating meaningful connections and sharing insights at our events.

As an
Event Management Intern
, you will play a key role in supporting our team behind the scenes and in the spotlight. This role is a great opportunity to explore what it takes to bring an international conference to life—from concept to execution.

Your role and mission

• Support project managers
  in organizing both
  virtual and in-person solar conferences
  .
• Assist in
  designing conference programs
  by researching key topics and engaging leading industry experts.
• Source and coordinate speakers
  , ensuring timely communication and alignment.
• Collaborate closely with our
  Marketing team
  to gather and deliver content on deadline.
• Monitor event budgets and track sales/costs
  .
• Conduct
  stakeholder mapping
  for enhanced engagement and collaboration.
• Manage badge systems
  and support smooth on-site execution.
• Support the team with overall
  process improvement
  and
  template updates
  .

What You Bring

• You are currently enrolled in a
  university or HBO program
  related to
  event/project management
  and remain enrolled for the internship duration.
• You are available
  from February 2026 to July 2026
  for at least 5 months, working a
  minimum of 4 days
  (32 hours) per week.
• You live in or near
  Rotterdam
  and can come to the office
  at least 3 days per week
  , as we operate in a hybrid working model.
• You have a
  good command of English
  (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
• You have a valid
  visa
  or
  authorization to work
  in the Netherlands (if applicable).
