Junior Reinsurance Treaty Broker

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated individual with an entrepreneurial mindset to join our team. The successful candidate will assist senior brokers in all aspects of treaty reinsurance transactions, including delivering excellent and effective service to (internal) clients and underwriters.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with reviews of client renewal information, analysing data/assess risk exposures, drafting of formal documentation and prepare submissions for underwriters.
  • Coordinate the administration of reinsurance contracts, including policy issuance and endorsement processing in a timely manner.
  • Maintain core electronic placement files to ensure we evidence all best practice procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Provide exceptional service to clients by promptly addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and delivering value-added solutions in a manner appropriate for your level of knowledge and expertise.
  • Grow and maintain strong relationships with insurers/reinsurers, clients and colleagues to drive high client satisfaction.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and market conditions affecting reinsurance placements.
  • Assist senior brokers in researching and identifying potential reinsurance markets and opportunities to drive portfolio growth.
  • Actively participate in team exchanges.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and assignments as required by senior management.

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent team player.
  • Self-motivated to seek out knowledge, test ideas and ways to contribute to the team.
  • Good technical re-insurance knowledge.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Actuarial Science or related field.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages.
  • Strong language capabilities in English. Preferably also Dutch and Portuguese.
