ABOUT THE JOB

As a Draftsman at Qlayers, you'll act as a vital link between engineering and production, resolving manufacturability challenges and optimizing designs for production. You will draft and maintain technical documentation for multiple projects, from early prototypes to commercial products. Your work will directly impact both product quality and production efficiency, making this a hands-on role with significant responsibility in shaping our innovative solutions.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Draft and maintain technical 3D/2D drawings, BOMs and documentation for various projects, including new prototypes and existing products;
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability and quality standards;
  • Address and resolve engineering and production challenges by providing technical insights and design improvements;
  • Participate in the development and hands-on testing of new products;
  • Ensure all technical documentation is clear, accurate, and complies with internal and industry standards;
  • Contribute to cross-departmental initiatives to improve product performance, production efficiency and quality;
  • Assist in the preparation of operation manuals, service guides, and other technical literature for both internal teams and clients.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Professional qualifications and skills:

  • MBO or HBO in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field;
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks);
  • 2-3 years of experience with technical drawings and technical documentation is highly desired;
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems;
  • Fluency in English.

  • Hands-on mentality with a proactive approach to solving problems;
  • Strong attention to detail and a critical mindset towards accuracy;
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude;
  • Ability to collaborate across different departments and contribute to product improvements;
  • Willingness to engage in testing and prototyping processes.

WE OFFER:

  • Salary range EUR gross per month for a 40-hour work week. The exact amount depends on the seniority of the candidate. Salary will be calculated pro rata when working part-time.
