Europol is looking to establish a list of successful candidates for various internship positions in the Departments of the Operations & Analysis Centre, Serious Organised Crime, European Migrant Smuggling Centre (EMSC), Financial Crime Unit, European Financial and Economic Centre Operations and the Operations Directorate Management Office within Europol Operations Directorate, focusing on one of the following areas of Europol (indicative list):

  • Analysis Training Coordination Team within the Analysis & Strategic Coordination Unit;
  • Special Tactics Team within the Operational Centre Unit;
  • Property Crime Team within the EU Organised Crime Unit;
  • Trafficking in Human Beings Team within the EMSC;
  • Serious Fraud Team within the Economic Crime Unit;
  • Environmental Crime Team within the EU Organised Crime Unit;
  • Strategic Analysis Team within the Analysis & Strategic Coordination Unit;
  • Stakeholder Management Team within the Financial Crime Unit;
  • Counterfeiting Team within the Economic Crime Unit;
  • Operations Directorate Management Office.

There are currently eleven (11) internship slots available. This internship aims at providing selected candidates with an understanding of the main substantive areas of activity of the Europol Operations Directorate, its main processes, interaction with other Europol's internal and external stakeholders, mainly EU Institutions and bodies, but also Member States and Third Parties.

Depending on the project focus, the internship will entail some of the following tasks:

  • Project support;
  • Research and knowledge building;
  • External and internal communication;
  • Policy monitoring;
  • Open sources support;
  • Support in drafting documents;
  • Support in the organisation of events;
  • Support of internal and external information flows;
  • Support in training activities;
  • Planning support;
  • Ad-hoc administrative support.

The selected applicants will join the internship projects for a minimum period of
6 months
and a maximum period of
12 months
, including any possibility of extension based on the performance of the intern, the interest of the service and budget availability, with a work schedule of 40 hours a week. The internship will take place at the Europol premises in The Hague, The Netherlands.

During the period of internship, interns currently receive a
MONTHLY MAINTENANCE GRANT
of
1602 EUR
, serving the purpose to cover the costs of living in The Netherlands.
