We Grow Webshops is a European e-commerce logistics company that enables faster, cheaper and better shipping through an extensive transportation network and a centralized fulfilment hub in Europe's most strategic location. We streamline cross-border shipping, returns management, customs, carrier integrations and software for e-commerce brands expanding across Europe.

As we scale our operations and deepen our offering, we're looking for a senior leader to drive the backbone of our business: finance, operations and process optimisation.

Role Overview

The Head of Finance & Operations will be responsible for setting up, running and continuously improving our finance, operational and process frameworks. You will partner closely with the CEO and senior leadership to ensure financial health, operational excellence and scalability, while maintaining agility and cost discipline. You'll lead a small team and be a key enabler for growth.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Strategy

• Own full-cycle financial management: budgeting, forecasting, P&L, cash flow, cost control, financial reporting and invoicing

• Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards and financial models to measure performance and drive decision-making.

• Support strategic planning: evaluate new markets, investments, partnerships and growth initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax/regulatory requirements (Dutch & international as relevant).

• Liaise with external auditors, banks, advisors and carry out risk management and internal controls.

Operations & Process

• Lead the operations function: warehouse/fulfilment hub workflows, carrier processes, returns logistics, cross-border shipping operations.

• Define, implement and optimise operational processes, systems and SOPs to maximise efficiency, quality and scalability.

• Drive continuous improvement: cost-reduction initiatives, automation, technology adoption and KPI tracking.

• Work cross-functionally with fulfilment, shipping, software/integration teams and carriers to ensure seamless end-to-end delivery.

• Ensure the operational backbone supports rapid growth while maintaining customer-centric service levels.

Leadership & Culture

• Build, lead and develop a small team (finance & operations) — hire, mentor, structure roles and drive performance.

• Foster an entrepreneurial, results-oriented culture: high accountability, bias for action, data-driven decisions and ownership.

• Act as a key partner to the CEO, participate in senior leadership discussions, influence strategy and represent operations/finance in external forums as needed.

Candidate Profile

Required

• 7-8 years (or more) of experience in finance, operations or combined role, ideally within logistics, e-commerce or fast-growing service operations.

• Strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, cost analysis, KPI design.

• Proven operational experience: process design, workflow optimisation, leading or coordinating fulfilment/ logistics operations.

• Entrepreneurial mindset: comfortable in a dynamic, high-growth environment; hands-on; able to wear multiple hats.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; data-driven and metrics-oriented.

• Strong leadership and communication: able to build and lead a team, influence stakeholders, work cross-functionally.

• Fluent in English; Dutch language skills advantageous.

• On-site in Vianen full-time (we believe being co-located adds value to culture, decision-making and operational agility).

Nice-to-have

• Experience in software/platform driven logistics or fulfilment solutions.

• Experience working with carriers, customs, cross-border shipping networks.

• Familiarity with ERP/financial systems integration, automation tools and logistics tech.
