We are seeking an IT Portfolio Manager to lead and manage our IT change portfolio, ensuring that investments are aligned with business priorities and deliver measurable value.

The job
As IT Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of the IT change portfolio—from intake and prioritization to execution tracking and value realization. You will work closely with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and program managers to ensure transparency, governance, and strategic alignment across all IT initiatives. Your ability to balance strategic oversight with operational execution will be key to enabling successful transformation.

You will be responsible for:

  • Portfolio Governance: Establish and maintain governance structures for IT change initiatives, including intake, prioritization, and approval processes.
  • Strategic Alignment: Ensure that the IT change portfolio aligns with enterprise strategy, business goals, and technology roadmaps.
  • Portfolio Planning: Develop and maintain an integrated portfolio roadmap, including dependencies, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track progress, risks, and benefits realization across the portfolio, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business units, IT teams, finance, and PMO to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Reporting & Communication: Deliver clear, concise reporting on portfolio status, value delivery, and decision-making support.
  • Change Enablement: Support change management efforts by ensuring portfolio initiatives are integrated with organizational readiness and adoption plans.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve portfolio management practices, tools, and decision-making frameworks.

Reporting to: Strategy and Innovation Manager, Office of the CIO (OCIO)

Your skills

Personal skills:

  • Strong experience in IT portfolio management or program management.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and drive strategic decisions.
  • Skilled in navigating organizational dynamics and influencing outcomes.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and proactive.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Information Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in IT portfolio or program management, preferably in large, complex organizations.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional IT change portfolios.
  • Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, and traditional project management methodologies.
  • Experience with portfolio management tools.
  • Consultancy or transformation background is a plus.
