We are searching for a dedicated and passionate individual with Accounting, Finance or Economics background who is ready to join a company that is currently building strong momentum and growth.

You will be responsible for the full accounting cycle of the Dutch entity in Amsterdam, including monthly closing, financial reporting, VAT compliance, and audit support. The ideal candidate can work independently, ensure accurate and timely financials under IFRS / Dutch GAAP, external auditors, and the Dutch Tax Authority and he or she will report to the Finance Operation Manager.

Your role will include:

Month-End Closing

Support to prepare and post all monthly journal entries (accruals, prepayments, depreciation, provisions). Perform account reconciliations (bank, AR/AP, intercompany, fixed assets).

Financial Reporting

Prepare monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, and management reports with Support consolidation and group reporting.

VAT & Tax Compliance

Prepare and file Dutch VAT returns and Intrastat declarations.

Reconcile VAT GL accounts. Ensure compliance with Dutch tax legislation and group policies. Liaise with the Belastingdienst when needed. Support corporate income tax preparation and transfer pricing documentation.

Intercompany Transactions

Manage invoicing, reconciliation, and

TP true-up entries. Support to ensure proper documentation for arm's length pricing.

Audit & Statutory Reporting

Support year-end audit schedules auditors (local). Ensure all balance sheet accounts are properly substantiated.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience preparing VAT returns for multiple EU countries
  • Familiarity with transfer pricing and intercompany recharges
  • Knowledge of lease accounting (IFRS 16)
  • Experience working with auditors and external advisors

Working conditions:

· Start date: As soon as possible

· Working hours: 5 days a week (Mon-Fri, 8:30-17:00, including 30 mins lunch break).

· Work location: Our office in Amsterdam for at least first 3 months, and after this period work from home once a week.

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree (HBO/WO) in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • 4–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an international or multinational setting
  • Hands-on experience with full month-end close and VAT return preparation
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS or Dutch GAAP
  • Experience with ERP systems (Exact Online preferred) and Excel
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in English (Dutch language preferred, but not always required)
