Among other things, you will participate in the tender process and advise on contractual matters. You will also advise and work on setting-up legal structures and the purchase, sale, M&A and compliance.Based in the Netherlands, the Legal Department (ca. 5 fte) is responsible for all legal matters globally.As Legal Counsel you will:provide legal support on various legal aspects relevant to the business and operationreview tender documents and provide legal guidance in contract negotiationsprepare corporate documents such as minutes of board and shareholder meetings, shareholder agreements, and powers of attorney for general purposes and transactionsinitiate and set-up new legal structures and new (local) entities, amend existing structuresguide and assist on sales and purchasesprovide legal support in case of disputes, recovery and settlement of claims, litigation, and actively manage legal proceeding and external advisorssupport contract lifecycle management, provide internal training, initiate standardization of legal processes, draft legal models, templates, policies on (for example) complianceidentify and monitor relevant developments in the field of legislation, regulations and case lawYour profile:completed a bachelor and a master’s degree in lawdemonstrable relevant work experience as a legal counsel in an international setting, preferably the maritime and/or oil and gas industry or other relevant work experienceknowledge of and experience with international contract law, corporate law, and preferably also with claim handling and (maritime) insurancescritical, analytical thinking with a positive attitudea pro-active, hands-on problem-solving mentality, seeking opportunities for improvementteam player with an eye for legal risks versus business interestsgood communication and organizational and stakeholder management skillsflexible and capable of handling multiple tasks and prioritize work in a dynamic environmentfluent in English (both written and verbal)You must be eligible to work in the Netherlands.Proposition:Our client offers a competitive Compensation & Benefit package.
