Overview As a Software Test Architect, you design and lead the test approach for high‑tech software products. You support our customers by defining test strategies, developing automated test environments, and ensuring software quality within multidisciplinary teams. Your work spans clients in semiconductors, analytical systems, and medical technology. Responsibilities Identify test levels, quality criteria, and acceptance conditions Design and manage test environments and related infrastructure Define the architecture for software test automation and lead its development Apply TDD, BDD, and Gherkin to achieve effective test coverage Work in technical environments where software controls hardware Support multidisciplinary development teams with test expertise Optimize test processes within Agile workflows Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field ISTQB Advanced certification At least 6 years of experience in software testing & test automation in a technical setting Skilled in at least one of the following languages: Python, C#, or C++ Experience with test strategies, BDD/TDD, and the Gherkin language Knowledge of real‑time systems, UML, design patterns, and development methodologies Comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams involving electronics and mechanics Benefits Flexible 32‑40 hour working week 28 holidays with an option to acquire an additional 12 holidays Passionate colleagues who share a drive for technology and business success Freedom and responsibility in a high‑tech, challenging environment Personal coaching and a training budget of €6000 per year Team events, sporting activities, knowledge sessions, tasty lunches, and after‑work drinks Prime location at the Defltechpark knowledge hub, close to TU Delft Important Note This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the US Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730, et seq.).
