Job Description
Connecting your world As a Cost Advisor Infra (GWW) , you will proactively provide cost advice on risks and optimisation opportunities for major infrastructure (GWW) projects at the airport. These may include projects with a value of €30 million or more . How you achieve this is up to you. We trust in your positive approach and the way you take on challenges. You will use your talents to :
- Prepare cost estimates for the investment costs of these projects and continuously assess whether the investment delivers the desired value.
- Work together with various departments to develop well-supported and realistic cost advice.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and prepare budgets for both ongoing and future projects.
- Prepare budgets for requests submitted by main contractors within Schiphol. You will assess the request and quotation and be responsible for cost evaluation and efficiency.
- Functionally manage one or more junior cost engineers within the project. The working area of the Cost Advisor Infra covers projects relating to the entire landside road infrastructure, taxiways, runways, and above
- and underground utility infrastructure at Schiphol Airport, as well as our regional airports in Rotterdam, Eindhoven and Lelystad . The projects vary in complexity and scale, but they all have one thing in common: the dynamic and particularly complex Schiphol environment. Operations at Schiphol always continue, which means that even seemingly straightforward projects involve multiple relevant interests and stakeholders. This requires both understanding and the ability to persuade and influence. You’ve got this Schiphol connects your world. With the best people, we make travel safe and responsible. - HBO-level working and thinking ability , or extensive experience within the contracting/construction industry. You should also have extensive experience with cost management on new-build and renovation projects within the structural discipline.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Building Decree (Bouwbesluit) , and standards such as UAV, UAV-GC, RAW and STABU .
- Strong communication skills and experience working within a complex stakeholder environment , as well as the ability to collaborate effectively within teams.
