Senior Platform Engineer

We combine a pragmatic, people-first culture with technical craftsmanship, giving engineers autonomy in real production environments. /p pFor one of our key clients in the Netherlands, we are looking for a bSenior Platform Engineer /b who lives and breathes cloud-native infrastructure. This isn't a role for someone who has "worked with Kubernetes", it's for someone who has architected it, scaled it, and owned it across complex production environments. You'll be building and evolving a platform that engineering teams depend on every day, with GitOps and Internal Developer Platform thinking at its core. /p h3What you'll do /h3 ul liDesign, build, and maintain cloud-native platform infrastructure with Kubernetes as a first-class citizen, architecture-level ownership, not just operations. /li liOwn and evolve Infrastructure as Code at senior level using Terraform, setting standards, not just implementing them. /li liBuild and scale CI/CD pipelines that serve multiple teams and workloads at scale, ensuring fast, reliable, and secure delivery. /li liImplement and maintain GitOps workflows using ArgoCD, driving deployment consistency and auditability across environments. /li liCollaborate with engineering teams to improve developer experience and platform reliability. /li liContribute to and potentially help build an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) that enables teams to self-serve infrastructure and deployment capabilities. /li /ul h3What we're looking for /h3 ul liSenior-level Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience across cloud providers, you set the standard, not just follow it. /li liExtensive Kubernetes experience, GKE, EKS, AKS or equivalent, at an architectural level. This goes well beyond having worked with it. /li liProven CI/CD experience at scale, multiple teams, multiple pipelines, complex workloads. /li liHands‑on ArgoCD experience in a production environment. /li liSolid GitOps experience, ArgoCD, Flux, or both, across more than one employer or context. /li liA platform mindset: you build for others, optimise for usability, and care about developer experience as much as infrastructure correctness. /li libJava experience is not required for this role. /b /li /ul h3Nice to have /h3 ul liExperience building or contributing to an Internal Developer Platform (IDP). /li liCKAD or CKA certification, or equivalent demonstrable depth in Kubernetes. /li liExperience with landing zones, cloud governance, and IaC standards at an enterprise scale. /li /ul h3Life at Sytac /h3 pWorking at Sytac means joining a community that prioritizes your growth.
