Job description

Als Enterprise Risk Manager ben je een essentieel lid van het Enterprise Risk team op het hoofdkantoor. In deze rol vervul je een adviserende functie voor het senior management en de directie, waarbij je proactief te werk gaat om zowel kansen als risico's te identificeren. Hierbij gaat het niet alleen om emerging risks zoals Artificial Intelligence, maar bijvoorbeeld ook om duurzaamheid. Daarnaast voer je zowel strategische als projectrisicoanalyses uit (denk hier bijvoorbeeld aan het Ithaka project; de outsourcing van niet onderscheidende activiteiten binnen Achmea), rapporteer je over het algehele risicobeeld en geef je advies over de optimalisatie van het risicoprofiel om duurzame waarde creatie te bevorderen.

Binnen Achmea is de standaard werkweek 34 uur, maar er bestaat ook de mogelijkheid om tot maximaal 40 uur per week te werken.

In je rol als Enterprise Risk Manager opereer je vanuit het centrale corporate Non-Financial Risk Management team. Je bent als Enterprise Risk Manager voor de divisie Oudedagsvoorzieningen (ODV) betrokken bij een uitgebreid scala aan werkzaamheden gericht op het proactief beheren van het risicomanagement systeem, het uitvoeren van strategische en project risicoanalyses, het rapporteren over het integrale risicobeeld en het adviseren over de optimalisatie van het risicoprofiel ten behoeve van een duurzame waarde creatie. Concrete voorbeelden van door jou uit te voeren Risk werkzaamheden binnen deze divisies zijn:

Je faciliteert het bestuur in de Strategische Risico Analyse (SRA) en je voert analyses uit op specifieke strategische projecten –zoals bijvoorbeeld M&A transacties of strategische heroriëntaties - resulterend in een heldere opinie en bijbehorende adviezen. Je houdt je bezig met Emerging risks zoals bijvoorbeeld Klimaatverandering, Geopolitieke ontwikkelingen, Inflatie en Artificial Intelligence. Je beoordeelt verschillende business cases. Denk hierbij aan bijvoorbeeld de groeiplannen van InShared. Hoe ziet een eventuele uitbreiding naar een ander land eruit en wat gebeurt er als de winstgevendheid niet behaalt kan worden. Je voert de 2e lijns review uit op onder andere de begroting, de kapitaalplanning en de ORSA (Own Risk and Solvency Assessment). Je toetst hierbij onder andere op de Key Risk Indicators zoals opgenomen in de Risk Appetite. Je levert een belangrijke bijdrage aan het eens per kwartaal opstellen van de Risk & Compliance rapportage ten behoeve van het bestuur en de toezichthouder (DNB) .

Requirements

Als Enterprise Risk Manager heb je een brede kennis van en interesse in risicomanagement. Je bent in staat om de risico’s in hun onderlinge samenhang te beoordelen en acties te formuleren op basis van het algemene risicobeeld.

Je beschikt over een opleiding in bijvoorbeeld Economie, Strategisch Management, Bedrijfskunde, Econometrie, Actuariële wetenschappen of Accountancy. Je hebt extensieve relevante werkervaring met risicomanagement in de financiële dienstverlening, consultancy of bij een accountantskantoor. Je bent iemand die proactief advies geeft en het leuk vindt om de business verder te helpen met jouw adviezen. Je ontwikkelt je talenten ook in de toekomst verder met je leergierigheid. Je benut de kansen die je krijgt en je leert van je resultaten om er beter van te worden. Je wordt door je omgeving gezien als de ‘trusted advisor’ die waar nodig scherp en hard kan zijn op de inhoud maar altijd oog blijft houden voor de relatie.

Binnen de afdeling Risk Management voorziet het team NFRM (circa 15 FTE) in de Risk Management inzet voor de operationele en strategische risico’s alsmede voor het integrale risicobeeld van de hele Achmea Groep die bestaat uit leven-, schade- en zorgverzekeringen in binnen- en buitenland, een bank, pensioenuitvoerder en vermogensbeheer. Het NFRM team hecht aan het onderhouden van een hoogwaardig kennisniveau. NFRM vormt samen met de teams Financial Risk Management (FRM) en Modelvalidatie (MV) de afdeling Risk Management (RM) als onderdeel van de staf Compliance, Risk Management & Actuarial die rapporteert aan de CRO in de RvB.
