In this pivotal role, you will oversee internationalprocurement activities across multiple production sites, ensuringthe timely acquisition of materials, components, and servicesessential for UAV manufacturing. The ideal candidate will beinstrumental in optimizing supply chain efficiency, managingsupplier relationships, and driving cost-saving initiatives.

Workinghours

Manpower islooking for a Procurement Category Manager for a company inHengelo. 

In thisrole, you will develop and implement procurement strategies alignedwith business goals and production schedules. You will conductmarket analysis to understand supplier capabilities and trends,identify cost-saving opportunities, and discover beneficialtechnologies. Your responsibilities include establishing andmaintaining strong supplier relationships, negotiating contracts,and managing contract performance to ensure favorable terms andminimize risks. You will collaborate with production teams toforecast demand, plan inventory replenishment, and supportproduction needs. Additionally, you'll identify supply chain risks,develop mitigation strategies, and work closely withcross-functional teams to align procurement with businesspriorities. Regular reporting on procurement performance andparticipating in budget preparation will be key tasks. You'll alsolead and mentor a team of buyers to meet procurement objectives andalign with strategic goals.

Functie-eisen
  • A Bachelor’s degree in aeronautical, aerospace,mechanical engineering, or a related field (advanced degree is aplus)
  • At least five years of experience inprocurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain
  • Experience with procurement analytics toolsand ERP systems 
  • Proficiency in English(additional languages highly valued) because of job duties
  • Availability of 40 hours per week 
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, andinterpersonal skills for effective relationship management withinternal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Strong project management skills, with theability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in afast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership andteam management abilities
