All this while ensuring 24*7uptime on mission critical environments. So, your work will have agreat impact on the daily lives of ourcustomers. 

  

Thisis how you will reinvent foodretail. 

  • Builda greenfield microservices architecture on Kotlin/Java for ourwarehouse or transportteam; 

  • Coachand guide the engineers in yourteam; 

  • Developtechnical solutions in line with our systems and business processarchitecture; 

  • Developproofs of concept, build code, implement and execute automatedtesting, ensure security and code quality, develop best practicesand execute automatedtesting; 

  • Furtherenhance our technical standards andguidelines; 

  • Shareyour expertise and contribute to initiatives and your productcluster and the broader AH Retail TechnologyPlatform; 

  • Developthe team’s skills and processes to deliver value as quickly aspossible. 

  

AsSenior Engineer, you are technically responsible for the work ofyour product team. Your team develops and supports multipleapplications delivering one or more capabilities for our brands inThe Netherlands. You will work closely with our Product Owner andProduct Architect, to develop our technology landscape. Businesstechnology and Solution consultants will support you and the restof the team to identify requirements and find the best possiblesolutions. 

  

Togive you an insight into some of the large scale initiatives we arecurrently busywith: 

  • Rebuilding ourtraditional tech landscape into a modern cutting-edge techfoundation (with Microservices & High code front-end) to scaleour ever-growing corebusiness. 

  • Integratingand expanding our supply chain capacity andnetwork. 

  • Optimizingthe value chain in our warehouses (or integrating towards ourpartners), transport andreplenishment 

  • Cloud(Azure) transformation andmigration. 

  

Yournew team and office:

You will join ourSupply Chain Execution cluster which exists out of our Warehouseteam and Transport team. This cluster is responsible for thephysical delivery of goods from the distribution Centers to thestores. The IT landscape includes (to list a few) the warehousemanagement systems, transport delivery and settlement applicationsand the physical devices in the DCs like hand scanners, bluetoothheadsets, display tablets etc. We are currently moving our legacytech stack (Oracle PL-SQL to a more modern tech stack(Kotlin). Our teams work in a hybrid way: both from home aswell as in the office. We are located right next to the trainstation of Zaandam.  We think it’s important to be part of anhigh-belonging team; a team where you can be yourself and feelsafe, accepted and appreciated.   • 5+years experience working as a Kotlin Developer working in a complexTechnologyenvironment; 

  • Broadtechnical knowledge including Kotlin/Java, Microservices, Cloud(preferably Azure and OCI), API and non-functional requirementssuch as scalability and technicalsecurity; 

  • Bigplus if you have knowledge of Oracle PLSQL; 

  • Knowledgeon event streaming and messaging platform (Kafka) is a bigplus; 

  • Knowledgeand experience onAgile; 

  • Anoutstanding command ofEnglish; 

  • Excellentcommunication skills and the ability to lead and motivatepeople; 

  • Alreadylocated in TheNetherlands.
