Summary

As a Project Engineer you will play a key role in the preparation and execution of our offshore projects. You will collaborate with employees of all nationalities and disciplines and you might work on board of our vessels, on the project site or in one of our offices. Together we work on DEME’s vision of creating a sustainable future.

Being responsible for the engineering, preparation and execution of our projects;

developing method statements for our works before we go execute them offshore;

when on site, optimizing and implementing the method statements in practice;

communicating between site or vessel and the office;

keeping track of the installation process on the bridge on board one of our vessels;

monitoring the progress of the project, participate in coordinating activities in the field, optimize and fine-tune where necessary in support of the Works Manager or Superintendent;

taking care of ad hoc needs of the project and actively respond to questions from the project management;

ensuring planning, production reporting, budget control and cost monitoring.

MSc or BSc Offshore Engineering, Marine Engineering or any other relevant engineering discipline;

Minimum of two years of relevant project management experience;

willingness to work abroad on our vessels or projects and in the office;

fluent in verbal and written English;

excellent team player.

As Junior Project Engineer located in Cairo you support all project planning and development activities including strategy building, multi-disciplinary alignment, financial planning, economic modeling, and relationship building with all stakeholders in including: potential partners, suppliers, contractors, financiers, and regulators. Once project execution begins, you would analyze and monitor project execution according to the planning, identify risks and opportunities, report on progress and review, advise/make suggestions for optimization, and modify existing reporting and/or planning tools and working methodologies if necessary, in line with contractual requirements, in order to optimize and contribute to an optimal realization of project objectives.

The Project Manager Fleet Interventions is responsible for the end-to-end execution of the scope of work for a vessel intervention period (maintenance, repair, mobilisation, conversion, installation of mission equipment, ..) and redelivery. This role ensures that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to stringent quality and safety standards, while also obtaining high vessel performance and reliability post-redelivery.

Technical Equipment Supervisor

The Technical Equipment Supervisor (TES), is the main responsible person for the technical state of the Cable Burial Tool (CBT), whether on the vessel during operations or on shore during maintenance and modifications. Naval Architect for Offshore Operations

As a Naval Architect you will assess the workability limits of the offshore operations. The workability is a key element in the feasibility during the tender phase and is also one of the most important drivers in the decision making process during project execution. You will assess the workability by simulating the operations in hydrodynamic software packages and by co-engineering with colleagues in other disciplines in an international context. The work is mainly done from the office but offshore interventions are part of the job.
