Senior Production Planner

What are your main responsibilities?
As Senior Production Planner at Schunk Xycarb Technology you are occupied with monitoring and adjusting the production plan drawn up by/with fellow planners taking into account capacity and material availability. This so that orders can be delivered complete and on time on the agreed date. Your daily tasks will consist of: Perform daily tasks and solve the problems of the day; Advising, working out and implementing adjustments in logistics concepts; Initiating, coordinating and implementing improved methods, procedures and systems to monitor processes. You will act as a trouble shooter to sort out and resolve questions related to production planning, bookings, routings, etc; Participation in product and logistics improvement projects; Scheduling multiple production facilities both domestically and internationally; Maintain planning information in the ERP system (SAP ECC); Follow up and monitor progress of production orders, you adjust or escalate as needed; Process and communicate consequences of revised schedules to stakeholders; Monitoring new products (NPI) for the Mechanical Machining Department (MBA) and Thermo Chemical Department (TCA); Analyze daily/weekly reports and where necessary you will initiate corrective actions.
What are your skills?
For this function it is important that you have experience with planning complex facilities in order to function well in the role. The right candidate for this position will have: At least a Bachelor degree in Logistics or Technical Business Administration At least 5 years of experience in planning complex production facilities; Understanding of market demand, market trends, production methods and processes; Experience with production control techniques such as Lean Manufacturing Knowledge of the Office package with an emphasis on Excel; An accurate, structured and results- and customer-oriented way of working; A good command of the English language (written and spoken) (Dutch is not mandatory but appreciated) And, last but not least, you live by the core competencies of Schunk Xycarb Technology: Innovation, Collaboration and Customer Focus.
