Commercial Demonstration and Test Technician – Equipment Wehl

Are you ready for a dynamic role that combines technical expertise with creative demonstration to customers? As a test set up specialist and a customer engagement champion you are at the heart of innovation, working closely together with application engineers. Execute with Impact: Lights, camera, action Execute tests with precision, capturing the process through videos or via engaging demonstrations for customers virtually and onsite. You will be based in our Wehl (Gld) facility and report to the Production Manager.  What will you do?  Engage with application engineers to understand their requirements and align on optimal test setups. You are able to bridge technical and practical considerations to create an effective solution. You’ll be hands-on, configuring test equipment, connecting components, and ensuring everything is ready for action. Both for pre- and post-sales tests. You develop and/or fine-tune test protocols and procedures as needed. Execute tests with precision, capturing the customer’s needs process through videos. Imagine showcasing equipment to an onsite customer, demonstrating its capabilities firsthand. You share the test result with the customer in a pre-agreed format. Customer Interaction: When customers visit, you’ll be their guide demonstrating (belt / equipment) capabilities firsthand. Independent if it is showcasing to an onsite customer or by means of remote livestream magic executing tests out of our film studio. Proactive team player with a can-do mentality, ensuring quality in both testing as well as video output.  Strong communication skills – technical as well as commercial  Report writing skills.  Mechanical/ Mechatronic Engineering degree or equivalent work experience; able to read electrical and mechanical drawings.  Familiar with use of hand tools, saw, drill and other assembly/fabrication equipment; able to connect electrical components (PLC)  Fluent in English both verbal and written, other languages are a plus.  Excellent computer skills – Windows, Advanced Microsoft Office skills, video editing and 3D drawing.  Demonstrates creativity, contributing innovative ideas to enhance visual and audio elements of projects or a strong desire to learn these skills. Experience in producing videos and working with multimedia tools like Adobe Premiere Pro or Camtasia is a pre. Open to travel to be off-site and/or work occasionally outside regular working schedule.
