As an Application Engineer/Administrator, you will:
  • Manage application lifecycle, including deployment, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Implement best practices for application deployment, monitoring, and administration.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of applications.
  • Provide consultancy services on a temporary basis for applications engineering/administration activities.
  • Support ICT applications systems and operations.

What You Bring to the Table:
  • More than 6 years of experience working as an IT professional in mid/large IT infrastructure environments, including deployment, support, and maintenance of applications.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in application administration.
  • At least 2 years of experience with micro-services, container orchestration, and container-based stacks such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • At least 2 years of experience administering and supporting Elasticsearch.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with enterprise Microsoft or Linux server solutions.
  • Good knowledge of micro-services, container orchestration, and container-based stacks using Kubernetes, Helm charts, and Rancher.
  • Good knowledge of configuration management concepts and technologies (e.g., Puppet, Ansible, Chocolatey).
  • Good knowledge of shell and/or PowerShell scripting.
  • Good knowledge of ITIL, including the incident, change, and release management processes.

You should possess the ability to:
  • Provide application engineering/administration support.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure efficient operation of application systems.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot application-related issues.
  • Implement best practices for application deployment, support, and maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and technologies related to application administration and support.
