We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager (GM) to join our team in Barendrecht, Netherlands. As the GM, you will play a pivotal role in driving the organization’s success by overseeing and coordinating various aspects of our operations. You will be responsible for setting and completing strategic goals, leading and developing teams, and ensuring the financial health and profitable growth of our business within the defined market. This role demands strong leadership, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of the industry and market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement business plans, strategies, and actions to ensure profitable sales growth and improve market penetration.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Maintain long-term partnerships with customers through trust, proactive communication, and credibility, ensuring they receive highly competitive services, including appropriate sealing solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with segment and GGI leaders to implement segment strategies, and with support functions and individuals within TSS, including product leaders, SCM, and R&D, to ensure market, customers, and sales forces are adequately supported.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop the sales, engineering, marketing, and administration teams by setting targets and supervising performance.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve processes to enhance customer satisfaction and efficiency.
  • Marketing Leadership: Lead marketing activities in accordance with the marketing strategy and ensure that turnover and profit targets are realized.
  • Resource Management: Manage resources, including people, working capital, and CAPEX, to improve profitable growth.
Requirements:
  • Educational Background: Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Technology, or Business Administration.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English and Dutch (spoken and written).
  • Experience: Proven experience in General Management, with couple of years of professional experience working with technical products and sales.
  • Leadership & Coaching: Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to empower and motivate teams, set a clear vision, and guide employees toward achieving organizational goals.
  • Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Team Building: Ability to foster a positive work environment, promote collaboration, and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Customer Focus: Deep understanding of customer needs, with a commitment to delivering value and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Change Management: Proven ability to manage change effectively and lead teams through transitions.
  • Innovation: An openness to new ideas and a commitment to fostering innovation to keep the organization competitive and adaptable to changing market dynamics.
