Role description:
Lead the Places Design & Engineering Service Line with a focus on transforming the service resulting in improved efficiency and market differentiation. Drive long-term standardization and automation of the service lines supported by maximum usage of GEC within Places as well as embedding sustainability by design in everything we do.
Lead the focus for the Places Design & Engineering community, with a significant presence in UK, Europe, US, Canada, the GEC and Australia, with a focus on standardization, design process automation to ensure higher quality outcomes and assurance for our clients.
Role accountabilities:
Lead the standardisation of the Service Line and adoption of best practice:
Set the standard for service delivery including governance and assurance across the business using standardized process and best practice in the form of Standard Operating Procedures Continuous refinement and optimization of the service line processes Scale best practice & standards across the Service Line and across the Global community.Lead the digitalisation and automation of the Service Line:
Develop and deploy automated solutions to repeatable processes which improve efficiency and lower our cost of delivery for Service Line Oversee the continued development & deployment of service based digital tools aligned to Enterprise principles including alignment with innovation framework Optimize use of GECs, digital tools, and data for the service line digital propositions Develop digital service offerings, tools, and products to raise Client experience and create market differentiation Set and instil the Service Excellence agenda: Develop Services which are high quality, recognized as the best through relentless focus on exceeding client expectations underpinned by clear Quality, Assurance & Compliance processes Setting highest standards of Service quality, leading to client satisfaction and repeat business Oversee the optimization in ways of working, delivery models and evolve usage of the GEC · Elevate sustainability by design as business as usual and foster our journey of continuous innovation & learning to further enhance our contribution to a future proof planet.Build Service Capability and Skills:
Set strategy and long-term requirements for skills and capabilities for the Service Line in consultation with Global Services Director (PIP) D&E Build competence & skills in line with future Service & Client need · Foster and develop centers of excellence & technical expertise in Service Line groups Build pipeline of technical leadership across service line · Provide career development paths for those in service community Develop additional skills in the GEC to support growth, efficiency, effectiveness and scaleLead the continuous development of the Service Lines:
Embed sustainability into the delivery of our services and add additional value to our clients Establish Services line strategy within GBA and lead service transformation across GBA Cultivate service excellence culture across the service line and foster continuous improvement to leverage the benefits of global scale Manage Service Line knowledge as a corporate asset improving accessibility to all ArcadiansKey shared accountabilities:
Work with the GBA Operations Director and GBA Sales Director to determine strategic direction of service offerings Implementation of Service Strategy with BA Country Director, BA Operations Director & BA Service Lead Work with Solutions Directors to support development of integrated propositions to market providing service expertise · Work with Technology to develop tools, platforms and systems for the Service Line Work with Quality organization to ensure that standard processes are formalized and approved deviations are documented. When implemented, work with Strategic Workforce planning team to develop plan for workforce of the future, capabilities and strategic resourcing needs Alignment with Global Services Director (PIP) - D&E and interface with XGBA D&E community and SEGs.Qualifications & Experience:
The candidate should have a bachelor or master's degree in their chosen Service Line or equivalent, and significant relevant experience, with a proven track record of developing and implementing services strategies to drive standardization and automation across multiple geographies. Demonstrate significant leadership capability and the ability to inspire geographically dispersed teams around a common set of processes, procedures, systems, and tools. Ideally direct operations and senior strategic development experience. Have previously held P&L so that the development of service strategies are done in a P&L / Strategy accretive way. Must be a strong communicator and have the ability to drive change through influence.

Demonstrated experience as senior technical expert in the chosen Service field including links to Professional bodies Technology enabled and digital in mindset, proven in the field of delivering major projects for clients in service area Technical Excellence attitude and strategic focus with excellent commercial drive and decisiveness Leading transformation: Ability to bring people on a journey to the unknown, creating a sense of stability and security in uncertain times, avoiding change fatigue.
