Quantity Surveyor

Nouvall Engineering Services is specialized inproject support for the (petro) chemical and maritime industry. Weprovide expertise in the field of Engineering, Project Management,Maintenance, Shutdowns, Construction and Safety.

We have a opportunity for a QuantitySurveyor in Antwerp at a construction site to perform quantitysurveying for several construction packages (i.e. Civil,Mechanical, Electrical and Instrument Worksetc).
The ideal candidate willwork in a multi-cultural integrated team and will report to theSubcontracts Administrator, together reporting to the SubcontractsAdministration Manager.

Responsibilities:
• Check and approve: i) the unit priceMeasurements with the drawings issued for construction and; ii) AsBuilt Measurements based on as built drawings submitted byconstruction contractors. Verify quantities and relevant economicalevaluation according to the preambles and method of measurementsstipulated in the Contract.
•Prepare and issue, on weekly basis, the report and the status ofthe (pre and as built) Measurements for eachcontract.
• Expedite and ensuretimely receipt of the Measurements from constructioncontractors.
• Maintain properfiling of all Measurements to facilitate anyaudit.
• Liaise withconstruction contractors to verify their Progress PaymentCertificates (issued on monthly basis).
• Check the evaluation of any extra worksrequested by construction contractors / client.
• Participate to the analysis of constructioncontractors' claims.
•Participate to the preparation of contractrevisions.
• Monitor theofficial correspondence between client and construction contractorsand inform the subcontract administrator for any urgentissues.
• Participate to thepreparation of official letters for constructioncontractors.
• Follow up theexpiry dates of Bank Guarantees (Performance, advance payment,etc), and the insurances provided by constructioncontractors.
• Participate theweekly subcontracting meetings with subcontractors and participateto the preparation of the notes of meetings after each weeklymeeting.
• Participate to thecontinuous update of the subcontracts monthly report with the extraworks issued during that month.

• Hold an Engineer, a technical or arelevant degree with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in QuantitySurveying for works in industrial plants;
• Have a very good level of written and spokenEnglish, Dutch is a plus.
•Have a good experience in MS Office programs with complex Excelfiles.
• Have a very goodcommunication skills.
• Be usedto work in an integrated team on complexprojects.
• Be a teamplayer.
• Be eligible to workin Belgium.
• Be available towork at construction site.
