IQIP, the global leader in pile driving and handling equipment, is looking for a Purchaser. Together with our 400 colleagues around the world, we provide smart and sustainable solutions for a variety of projects. Our work extends both at sea, where we contribute to wind farm and oil & gas projects, and on land, where we are involved in projects related to bridges and ports. You will be contributing to developing procurement strategies and maintaining excellent relationships with strategic suppliers, specifically for goods related to Machining and Construction.

Your work

As a Purchaser, you are responsible for managing existing supplier relationships, sourcing new suppliers, and ensuring they perform optimally. In this role, you report to our Procurement Manager and are a crucial link in the success of our projects worldwide by ensuring the necessary resources.

Your Responsibilities:

• Developing procurement strategies for machining and construction.

• Helping suppliers achieve the required qualification status through audit program assistance.

• Technically and commercially managing contracts.

• Participating in the RFQ process from start to finish.

• Developing negotiation strategies in collaboration with the Procurement Manager.

Your profile

• A completed higher education, preferably in a technical or commercial field.

• Proven experience in procurement within the heavy steel construction area.

• Strategic mindset, proactive with a keen eye for quality.

• Experience with audits and supplier performance improvement.

• Excellent communication skills in English, Dutch is a plus.

• Ability to learn quickly, especially in the use of ERP software, familiarity with ISAH is welcome.

• Willingness to travel occasionally.
