Job Description

Our client develops and maintains rail equipment such as trams, trains, and metros. As a leading player in the rail industry, they operate in a broad field of work, from delivering new fleets to maintenance projects and overhauls worldwide. They are at the forefront of innovations in hybrid technology, batteries, and electrification. The projects they undertake are technically diverse and challenging.


As a Reliability Engineer, you are responsible for increasing the reliability and availability of train fleets. You work closely with technicians and customers to perform technical analyses and make recommendations that help reduce the TCO. You play a crucial role in supporting long-term projects for various equipment series in French-speaking Belgium and the Netherlands.

Your main tasks are:

  • Analyzing technical data and availability figures of the fleet
  • Identifying trends and technical issues in vehicle performance
  • Translating complex analyses into technical recommendations to improve reliability and availability
  • Attending technical meetings with customers in the Netherlands and Belgium, both in person and via video conference
  • Collaborating with technicians and engineers to implement system optimizations and maintenance strategies


Job Requirements
  • Completed Bachelor or Masters education in a relevant technical field such as Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive, or Mechanical Engineering;
  • Experience in analyzing technical performance and making recommendations for system improvement
  • Strong communication skills, capable of turning complex data into actionable information
  • Fluent command of the French language, preferably combined with Dutch and English
  • Willingness to work partly in French-speaking Belgium

Preferred

  • Experience with technical analyses in railways, automotive, or a similar sector
  • Residing in the south of the Netherlands or the north of Belgium
  • Solution-oriented mindset and experience with customer-focused work
  • Affinity with working in an international technical environment


Salary and Benefits

We offer a challenging technical position where you will have a direct impact on the reliability and availability of train fleets. You will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects and contribute to optimizing the TCO of complex systems. The intention is that after one year of secondment, you will join our client on a permanent basis. At Timesource, you can count on excellent working conditions and support, following the Metalektro CAO of our client. Salary indication depending on experience, up to € 90,000 per year based on a full-time contract. Work location Netherlands or Belgium.
